What would you call this?

Remember this?

Well, after a few weeks of Mercury in Retrograde stuff, it finally turned into this:

The only thing still there from the original idea is the colour scheme. And the fact that it's a bracelet! The beads are amethyst, garnet, angelite and pink rubies, all hand wired to a sterling silver chain. The chain is attached to the end of two feet of silk ribbon, hand dyed by my friend Diane in France. Here are some more shots:

The ribbon gets wrapped around the wrist and the chain ends up laying across the top and trailing away to the side. The sterling silver hook can be put through any of the chain links to make it fit snugly and the ribbon length is adjustable also.

My main problem is this. I don't know what to call this style of bracelet. It is some sort of wrap, obviously but that term conjures up different pictures in my head. I haven't seen its like anywhere else.

What would you call this, so it can be found by search engines? More shots to help you decide:

I look forward to hearing from you, as they say! Get your thinking caps on because I want to list it on the website and in my Etsy shop soon!

    1. Thanks, Heyme! That's what I needed - some fresh pairs of eyes on the subject. That's got me thinking outside the box.

  2. That's what I thought when I saw it - grapes. How about "Grapes of Wrap" - play on Grapes of Wrath? Or Wrap(s) of Grapes? If you go with berries, perhaps Berry Twist? Ok, I'll stop now...

  5. I love the Grapes of Wrap idea! Very fun! I would also throw mixed media in there for the style since there is a mix of ribbon, beads and metal.

  8. Gorgeous! And I love the Grapes of Wrap! As for the style, "wrist wrap" seems to be an oft searched phrase. Maybe Beaded Wrist Wrap?

    1. I like that, Peggy. It's beginning to come together in my head. Hopefully, that won't take as long as it did to make the bracelet!

  10. I just loveeee the hand dyed ribbon Tina! I used to do a bit of silk dying when i was younger, in my girl guide days! I loved it as a girl, but could never think of much to really do with it, which is why i love this! I think that it's just stunning! The whole combination is beautiful! Congrats!

    1. Thanks, Sophie. I got the silk ribbon from a team mate in France, Diane Cransac. I bought a selection but I think I shall be ordering more. She has a good eye for colour combinations.
